Clinical Exercise Physiologist

A Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) is trained to work with patient with chronic diseases where exercise training has been shown to be of therapeutic benefit, including but not limited to cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease and metabolic disorders.

Clinical Exercise Physiologist utilizes scientific evidence to design, implement and supervise exercise testing and individualized prescription for patients. Clinical Exercise Physiologist establish short-term and long-term goals that meet patient’s needs by emphasizing physical activity and exercise as an enjoyable habitual lifestyle. The ultimate goal is to assist patient to effectively manage any chronic disease and improve their health-related quality of life simultaneously.
